What are good gifts to give to bridal party at rehearsal dinner?

Wedding2009, on September 9, 2009 at 11:33 AM Posted in Planning 0 13

We have no idea what to give our grooms men and brides maids at our rehearsal dinner. We really hope not to spend more than $50 per person on gifts, but we don't want to look cheap either...If you have any ideas/suggestions we would really appreciate it. Thanks!

You're getting them only 1 gift right? You're just giving them their gifts at the rehersal? Do they have any particular hobbies or passions? I want to give my BM's (just 2) really nice purses and a wedding day survival kit, as for the Best man and GM, who my FH hasn't picked yet(grrrrrrrr...) I'll let him pick them out, but If he needed help I would suggest a multi tool for the outdoorsy guy or check out www.gifts.com, they have a really neat gift finder!

I got my ladies digital picture frames and loaded them with photos of us over the years...something that is sentimental yet useful as they can add their own photos to the memory card. I got mine online for about 40 each plus 12 for the memory cards. The only bad part is that it took me forever to scan the pre-digital age photos from high school and college. Not sure what to get my 10 year old jr. bridesmaid though.

I am getting my maid of honor a personalized compact as she is always checking herself out in the mirror. There are a bunch of little gifts on weddingchannel.com you can check out as well. They are for the most part fairly inexpensive.

$50 is a lot! We spent less than $20 on a flask (or mug) and alcohol put $20 down on tuxes. For the girls we just gave them jewelry, flipflops, cosmetic bags (less than $40).

Instead of a physical gift, why not pay for their hair to be done the day of the wedding, or their makeup?

I agree with the previous posts. In my circle of friends and family the bridesmaids get jewelry to go woth their dresses, I once got a pearl necklace and earrings to go with it and still where it often. I think pearl necklaces are better becasue you can where them with almost anything so thats what I'm getting my girls. As for the men they are a little more tricky. My fiance once got a soccer jersey with his name on the back, all the guys did, so if they are all into sports you can do something like that. Or a money clip or something for the bar. $50 is a lot if its per person. The necklace and jerseys the girls and boys still where and the wedding was 5 yrs ago!

We gave the bridesmaids coach purses and the groomsmen we each gave a Patriots authentic jersey with their name on the back. The #'s corresponded to our wedding date.So each of the 8 groomsmen had a # that spelled out wedding date. Everyone commented that is was the most original groomsmen gift!

I sell Scentsy candles! These candles are unlike traditional candles because they will last forever...all you have to do to is replace the wax bar when it runs out! Your friends will have a gift they enjoy forever rather than something that lasts only during he duration of the wedding or gets put away shorty after the ceremony. You can personalize the warmers with scrapbooking transfers or choose a design that matches your friends' personalities. They are fun and priced right! I do specials for brides. For the bride on a budget, Scentsy warmers could be used as decoration/centerpieces and then given to your bridal party. This would also make it much more special. I encourage you to check out my website and contact me with any questions! Have fun planning your wedding! That is the best part! I was ready to become a wedding planner after mine! I stuck with teaching instead! Smiley smile
