What a shame!

Like I haven’t had enough dresses in my possession lately. I went to the thrift store in search of sundresses and tank tops. A cute 50s style wedding dress may have caught my eye. I may have tried it on. I LOVED it and it’s adorable dots. However, my boobs said NOPE. There is no way that it will ever fit without altering it and giving it a corset back. I refuse to spend more on alterations than a dress costs. It had to stay there.

Oh bummer! I love that! I love vintage and things that look vintage. My dress has a bit of a 40s vibe and I love that

I’m thinking if this dress is still at the thrift store on Thursday (when teachers get 1/2 off), I may get it and try to put a corset back in it.

The good news is that that exact style and many other late 40's, and all of 1950's similar style are currently in , widely available in patterns. And you could have it made for you inexpensively, custom fit from scratch, for not much more than altering one already made. That is a great style to go from garden party through early evening and cocktails, dress it up or dress it down for any summer evening by choice if accessories. After the wedding, or for a party, or your honeymoon, do it for yourself.🙂

When my grandmother passed away 2 months ago, she left me 2 sewing machines. It would be fun to try.

I could...and still might. However, I think this would be a fun thing to try.
