We're Eloping! Sorta...

If we can get a marriage license. Which apparently you cant on election day in Illinois.

So you know when you hit that "arghhh, we should have eloped" phase?
Well, I guess we are eloping... in our living room. With our two cats and two dogs.
Yesterday we pushed back our reception to Halloween. Small ceremony with our wedding party.
Today, I couldn't take it anymore. We cancelled the ceremony. Pushed it back to Halloween too.
So far, all of my vendors have been super accommodating.
I'm waiting to hear back from my DJ, a rental place, and I'm hoping my photographer can get me in.
But every one else has barely batted an eye. And just said yes.
Now I just gotta finish contacting people, update our website, registries, pick out new invitations. And maybe tweak our original timeline.
And wait for our honeymoon to cancel itself. Lol.

Girl meeeee toooooo. We cancelled the wedding because of the coronavirus. Everything shutting down was too worrisome, and the thought of places going bankrupt, and shutting down was way too nerve wracking. We are trying to find a space that will let us host a quick ceremony and have cake and drinks for a few hours. Maybe 5 people with my father officiating. No hustle and bustle. We will have an actual "ceremony" and reception dinner at a later date because I cannot take thia crap right now. Also, not all my vendors are wanting to give up their money. Which is so frustrating. I didn't ask for a mandated two month military lock in. It is an order that my SO not leave our state, like screw me right?
