Welcome tables

Felina, on August 4, 2019 at 10:13 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 10
Hello all! We have an inclusive venue who takes care of most of the big stuff but i think the one thing we kinda forgot about is the welcome table, which is relatively personalized so they don't take care of that of course. Im having a very hard time visualizing how the heck to do this and where to start. We have a meeting with them in two weeks and I need to have some sort of idea when we get there. Pintrest isn't helping so it would be super helpful if i could see some of yours! Staged/actual. I just need ideas 😭

What is a welcome table? Do you mean the guest book and card box table? Or the escort card table?

I supposed so! Basically the table you see where there's the guest book and card box thing... i have been to very few weddings so I'm so uninformed 😂

I haven't heard it called a welcome table but I see how it could be called that. I think most people combine the guest book with the card box/gifts so there usually isn't too much room to decorate the table. We combined ours and just used an ivory silk tablecloth (what we draped our reception tables with), a sign for our guest tree sketch next to our guest tree sketch, our card box which was an exact replica of our house, and a small floral arrangement with one of our bridesmaid's bouquets.

You mean to decorate it? A lot of brides use pretty backdrops for their tables like flower walls. You could also do a large ornate guest book alternative like mine, we did a Wish Tree. It’s a manzanita tree covered in flowers and crystals and guests hang Wish tags from it(blessings for bride&groom)
The “welcome table” is just to put your guest book and card box, you can decorate it anyway you want! You might find more inspiration pics by looking for guest book tables.

I didn't really decorate mine either. Just put my canvases for guest thumb prints and my card box and had a couple signs.

Daughter's venue supplied a large table where they displayed one of their engagement photos, their "guest book" (which was Jenga blocks to be signed), and their card box (which was a house, but not quite as elaborate as earias' Smiley winking ). That's also where they had their "unplugged" sign. (There was enough room so that the few guests who brought physical gifts could leave them on that table as well.) Also, there was a separate large table at the cocktail hour area where the escort cards for reception seating were displayed.

You don't need one! But if you want one, ours had flavored water & programs! We had another table with a gift & cards sign too, our guest book was on that one.

Our welcome table will have our card box, guest book, and some signage. I didn't want to over decorate as I know the gifts would probably need the space instead.

Our venue has a table outside the entrance that is a "welcome" table. We will put our welcome sign out there and pictures of us and if we do programs. I was going to do our guest book, but now we are going to do a scrapbook with our photo booth. Here is what the table looks like (we can pick the colors and decorations)

These were our tables. First had our escort cards, then the gift table and a guest book/favor table.
