Welcome Party Alternatives?

Cristina, on September 7, 2021 at 9:47 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 3

Hi everyone!

My fiancé and I are having a large rehearsal dinner with about half of the guests (due to budget and size we weren't able to host a whole welcome party with everyone) but we wanted to still make those not invited to the dinner feel "taken care of" the Friday they get in. Has anyone done anything that guests have liked that didn't require you to host them for anything official?

Most of our guests are flying in a little earlier so on Thursday there is an informal gathering at a brewery. Nothing formal. More along the lines of whoever wants to come hang out can come to the brewery

Yes if you word it as the PP, an official come-join-us-if-you'd-like event, people don't expect you to pay.

We are doing a game night at our house the night before our upcoming reception! It'll be more so for our bridal party and their partners though
