Welcome gifts for guest

Hope, on February 26, 2021 at 4:48 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 8
I would like to know other future brides/ brides ideas on getting items for a welcome gift for guests. My wedding is in Oct 2022 in Vermont. I know Vermont is known for their maple syrup, I’m planning on giving maple syrup as favors.

If you are gi ing a favor, you don't need a welcome gift too. But people like cookies or maple candy to eat in their hotel rooms, in zip lock bags.

Most favors get left behind, even edibles. Skip them and the welcome gifts. Good food and entertainment and drinks guests don't pay for is more than enough.

I agree with Judith- you don’t have to do both. We’re serving chocolate covered toffee- ordered from a local baker to help support local businesses- that’ll be given out during the dancing.

We did water bottles, a variety of snacks, and mini hangover kits in our welcome bags, and we did gourmet buttermints for our favor. However, the welcome bags were only for the guests who stayed in our hotel block, and the favors were for everyone. As for welcome bags for your hotel block guests if that's what you're asking about, generally any kind of food is appreciated Smiley smile Maple syrup sounds like a fantastic favor too, and very fitting for Vermont!

Same here. Welcome bags will be given at the hotel for guests staying there. They have little hangover kits, some snacks, waters. It’s always nice after a night of drinking to have a snack and Advil and water ready for the morning.

Yeah your right, I’ll probably just end up just doing the welcome bag. Thank you for the advice 😊

Wow I love the hangover kit idea! I think I’m just going to do the welcome bags and get items from Vermont that me and my fiancé really enjoy that we think people would love! (Like chocolate and maple cookies) Thank you for sharing with me! 😊

We’re doing welcome bags with water, postcards, locally made candy, locally made votive candles, a couple of snacks, mints, and Advil lol
We only have 20 rooms and two guest houses in our room block, so it’s not too bad.
