We were originally planning on a welcome cocktail hour for our "rehearsal dinner", but my mom just informed me that she would rather have a rehearsal dinner limited to just the family and bridal party. When I asked, "who are you thinking?", she listed off her entire extended family. So basically that would be 50 people plus our bridal party, which is 22 people with their dates. So she wants to have a small "intimate" dinner with 70 people. Yeah, we are only expecting 100 people to RSVP yes... FH doesn't have parents, so they will not be hosting the rehearsal dinner.
Has anyone else done a cocktail welcome hour with appetizers? 80% of our guests are OOT, so we just wanted another opportunity to see everyone.
