It bled and is pretty hideous. I know people probably don't care, but should I put a fake nail on for the wedding, or wear a band aid? I seriously don't know what to do, and it's of course on my left hand. I'd appreciate any advice!

If it's healed then get the fake nail. If you're only doing one fake nail, let the salon know. The salon we got our nails done at threw a shit fit when my SIL said she wanted one fake to cover her nail issue. They said they never do just one. They ended up smoothing hers out by utilizing either gel or acrylic but for whatever reason didn't use a fake nail on top.

I did that recently! It took about a month to grow out. I wore Kiss fake nails to protect the nail bed and so my split nail wouldn't get caught on anything. Wait and see, but acrylic or even glue-on nails would work well if it's not fully grown out!

If you are having close up of your hands have them put just one acrylic on to match the rest!

Thanks everyone! for those of you with nail injuries as well, i wish you quick healing! my nails are always really short, and am not really looking for anything show stopping, so i am sure it will be ok. Its just honestly unsightly right now, and i don't want to hit off of anything at the wedding, because its pretty tender. The only frame of reference i have is when i was building an ikea bed with my dad in college and he dropped it on my big toe. It turned turquoise immediately and then eventually came off. It took like all summer to heal, but i guess the coming off part has already happened. The sensation of cutting your nail too short, but over a giant area is god awful. Push comes to shove, i could always try to work those Madonna like a virgin gloves into my look ( i am going to let you decide if this is a joke).

I also wanted to emphasize this to the crock pot self catering crowd: god only knows what kind of mishaps can happen, today i bled all over a lot of poblano peppers... i ordered a pizza for dinner, god only knows what someone would do panicking hours before serving a giant crowd (rinse them off?).
