Weird question? How to incorporate Lion King and Lilo and Stitch?

Riley, on May 26, 2019 at 9:27 PM Posted in Planning 0 12
So my theme is happily ever after and I am already incorporating other Disney movies (Beauty and the Beast, Up, Little Mermaid) But my 2 absolute favorites are Lion King and Lilo and Stitch I really want to incorporate them as well but I have no idea how to. Any ideas?

We're straight up planning on playing Hi Mele No Lilo (the Hulu song at the beginning) during the reception 🤷

"Ohana means family. Family means no one gets left behind or forgotten."

"Can You Feel the Love Tonight" - Elton John (Lion KIng soundtrack)

    Just thoughts though

The family quote would be a cute sign by seating chart or group of family photos with the bride and groom!

Also if there is a seating chart instead of numbering the tables you can name them after characters. My fiancé and I love Bruce Springsteen and the tables will be referred to by song titles. Even my wedding websites has names of songs. Titles like Ceremony and Reception are called “I Wanna Marry You” and “Dancing in the Dark.”

I second this. My FH & I love our town & we are naming the tables after restaurants & pubs. I am having a chalkboard wood sign made up for the seating chart - our last name will be in the middle & then the tables name will be around, we are going to try to do it like a map, but definitely not to scale. We are also going to keep it, and hang it in our house as a reminder of our wedding.

You could name the tables after characters, or songs.

Also you can make ur hashtag (if you don’t have one yet) something like #justcan’twaittobelastname

Naming your tables after Disney movies is one thing, but trying to incorporate multiple Disney movies into a WEDDING seems really unnecessary. Its your day, I'm not trying to rain on your parade, but I'm not understanding why you want to include all this commercial stuff in your wedding. I'd scratch this idea and go with a nice color pallette instead. 🤷 Sometimes simple is better.

You are right it is my day... I do have a color pallet its not like im going to have Disney characters walking around I just thought I would like to have some small things added in like for example I'm doing the enchanted rose from beauty and the beast or my favorite music from UP and throwing in some hidden mickeys I am not going crazy. Disney is a very big part of my life its who I am and since it is I want some of it on one of the biggest days of my life. Btw my colors are rose gold and burgundy.

I really like the family quote from Lilo and Stitch! It's also one of my favorites! I think doing your tables after the movies, and the songs and stuff will be awesome!

A Lilo and Stitch style photo display might be a cute idea- she keeps all her polaroids on her wall, right? So you might be able to incorporate old photos of family and friends (bonus for beach photos!) printed in a polaroid style with the Ohana quote on the display.

As for the Lion King- LOVE Becky and Kelly's ideas!! The iconic sunrise scene would totally fit in with your colour scheme, too. Maybe some way of getting that visual-- ombre cake icing with the landscape silhouette, sunset dip-dye/tie-dye napkins, etc.. I guess that depends on how much of the decor you've already planned and how much time and effort you can afford to put in, but hopefully it's sparked some inspiration!

Could you have some signature drinks/punches that are based on them?
