So, my groom is on the heavier side some and he has been wanting to lose weight for the wedding but because of the pandemic, he cannot... on a lighter note, I'm about 100 pounds lighter than him. I love him for him and same for him to me. Do you love your bigger groom? ♡ Shower me with photos. ♡♡♡ **this is meant to not be offensive and I'm thankful to be with him through thick and thin**

When we eloped 23 years ago he started gaining weight. He was moody, miserable and lost his confidence. 2007 is where he started to do fasting and he often eat only once a day. He is back to his normal weight. I don’t care he is thick or thin, but since he was suffering mentally, I prefer him slim. Weight 1
Left dh, right our oldest son when he was 16.

Why can he not lose weight due to the pandemic? Losing weight is 80% diet, 20% exercise (if not even 90%/10%) so not being able to get to the gym doesn’t have that much of an impact. Eat less, and make what you eat better. Lean protein, lots of veggies, small amounts of complex carbs (brown rice, whole meal pasta, sweet potato). For accountability, MyFitnessPal is great but you do need to weigh everything you eat.

If he wants to lose weight there are still some small things he can do while the pandemic. His diet is something he can focus on; learning to cook healthier meals that are still filling, drinking plenty of water, avoiding soft drinks, and maybe going for short walks. Also, there are short workout videos online 15-20min. that he could try. My fiancé is the slimmer one and I have been trying to lose weight. I’ve taken the steps above and in recent weeks lost about 15 pounds. He should do what makes him feel best of course; it’s not really about the weight or number on the scale. It’s about feeling healthy that’s how I see it for myself. I love all types of food; my problem was choosing the wrong types of food at times instead of healthier options. And now, I actually eat more but have lost weight because I’m choosing nutritious more balanced meals.

I literally cannot imagine my wife posting on a public forum to let people know that she loves me even though I'm plus sized. Like...what...?

I know this isn't meant to be offensive but kinda sounds like it is.

Also why can't he lose weight during a pandemic? Like the ladies above said...its mostly diet and he can do a million things outside and you can encourage that. Smiley smile

When I met my FH we were heavy set and have both lost weight over the years (more than 100#'s combined). I have always loved him for him, whether he was 50 or so #'s heavier or the way he is now. I've managed to gain back 10 of my 50 #'s lost during this pandemic because my job went to working from home 3-days a week, while his still kept him active at his job.

Try helping in subtle ways to lose weight and join an online group together making it fun for you both (if you don't have to lose, you can maintain and support him in his journey).

So some food for thought, I am working out double of what I used to BUT I am no longer on my feet 8 hours a day. So even with a better diet, more exercise and standing during my online courses, it hasn't made the impact I had hoped. I feel like i just balanced out if that makes sense.. Losing weight isn't easy for some body types even with a great diet and physical activity so keep rooting for him! Your husband has to find out what exactly his body needs. Not all diets will work for everyone. Not all workout programs will help people the same. Weight loss is absolutely a personal learning experience. I would encourage him to continue trying to find what works for him.
