Different things work for different people. For me, it was working out consistently and just eating healthier for every meal. I cut out soda, desserts & coffee creamer. Fad diets or diets in general don't work for me as much as just choosing to eat healthier and eat normal portions.

The only way to lose weight and keep it off is to burn more calories than you consume. I would recommend tracking your meals on the My Fitness Pal app. If you use a smart watch or some other way to track your steps or workouts, you can also connect it to the app.

I've been doing keto for 3 years (before it was the fad, no one used to know what I was talking about lol) and it's been wonderful! It is a huge shock on your lifestyle for a while, though. Honestly, the best way is to just eat as little processed foods as possible and try to to eat more meat, veggies, fruit, and clean food. Low carb is definitely awesome, but if you want more of a doable day by day thing that isn't going to have to be a lifestyle change, I would encourage you to look at your diet, see where there might be unnecessary sugars and carbs and processed foods, and cut those as much as possible. Eating right doesn't just help you lose weight, it makes your skin shine, gives you more energy, and improves your day to day life Smiley smile

No soda and no potatoes goes a long way. For me, I've been carb counting and watching what I eat, so the pounds have melted off. Make it a lifestyle change, not a fad diet. I agree with everyone who just said to see where you can cut carbs and sugar and make sure you stick with that. Carb counting is good because you want to cut things while also enjoying moderation. You got this! Just keep being positive

I would also try to find a fitness regimen you can enjoy and stick to. The hard part is keeping consistent

The only way to lose weight is consume less calories than you burn. Everyone is different as far as what is easiest for them. For some people it’s cutting out certain foods but other people feel too deprived doing that. I would start by looking up a TDEE calculator and seeing what you naturally burn in an average day and then tracking how much you consume and go from there. Find an activity that you enjoy and eat in a way that makes sense for your life where you don’t feel deprived or punished. Good luck and be kind to yourself!

Mediterranean diet has been really successful for me with a 300-400 calorie deficit everyday. Its overall just a healthier way of eating, you still get carbs and the occasional sweet. More of a balanced approach. Im averaging a pound a week in loss. I weight lift 3 times a week and walk about 2 miles at a fast pace the other days.

I recommend a motivating community. It can on a group chat. It keeps you accountable. Having your Apple Watch or Fitbit track and creating those challenges helps a lot.

Noom has been great for me and it’s teaching me to understand my habits, have a better understanding of what I eat, and make changes.

The big thing is being in a caloric deficit!! Don't overload on cardio either -- try incorporating lifting weights. That can be better than cardio as well since it burns calories for a longer period. Keep water intake high, eat lots of protein, fats, and good carbs (don't shy away from carbs they aren't the enemy!), and workout/get movement at least 3 times a week
