I started using the SWEAT app with Kayla Itsines, it’s great. I lost about 5 lbs the first week.

I wanted to lose closer to 10-15 but overall just wanted to be healthier & tone my body more. So I cut out desserts, soda, and creamer during the week (occasionally I'll have some on the weekends). I basically only drink water & black coffee now and I try to pack my lunch everyday so I can eat healthy. I go to HIIT classes at my local gym twice a week, and do 3 15 minute workouts on the other days, then try to walk at least 5 miles on the weekends!

I've started doing Jillian Michaels shred 30. Its tough but she breaks it down into 3 dofferent levels, and she recommends not moving on until your are ready. Your supposed to do each level for ten days o believe is the idea im on day six, i took a one day break after five days, hurt my foot somehow but ill get back to it.
This requires only hand weights i use 3lbs and a mat. Good luck!

I’m currently doing keto with light work outs twice a week. I started in late January with a few slip ups and I’m almost down 15 lbs.

I use MyFitnessPal to keep track of my calories and make sure to measure and weigh what I eat to keep me accountable, also meal prepping and bringing my own lunch/snacks to work. I also am "trying" to switch from black coffee all day to just in the am, then having green tea and lemon the rest of the day.

I switched to a lower calorie intake on a very low-carb (but not quite as extreme as keto) combined with intermittent fasting using the 16/8 method - for me I stick to 1300 kcal with 35% carb 114G. Usually 5 but at least 4 days of the week I attend a 60min HIIT bootcamp w/weights that combines strength training and toning using a combination of PLYO, TABATA, AMRAP, and CROSSFIT (if you want I can share a few of our workout boards)

Jan I lost -10# but slacked off in Feb and half of March, haha! and have only lost an additional -3#. My goal is another -30# before my wedding Aug 2019. Calories in vs calories out, figure out your ideal healthy calories then reduce from there.

I’m jumpstarting my weight loss with a 5-7 day water fast. Then 3 days MWF HIIT for 30 minutes. Intermittent Fasting 12-8pm. Menopause has caused a weight gain for me. I had to find what works for my body and age. Don’t get too discouraged. Good luck

I think 40 pounds is an attainable goal in a year and some change. I've been tracking my calories and my weight on MyFitnessPal. I've lost almost 10 pounds since the end of January by consuming about **** calories a day with a few slip ups. I make sure to eat more filling items instead of junk food, since I'm eating less calories but I don't want to be hungry. On days that I work out, I eat more, but just enough to replenish what I've burned. I hate running, so instead I occasionally swim or go for a brisk walk. I have about 8 weeks left before my wedding so I'm hoping to drop another 5-10 pounds before then. I'll be amping up my physical activity come April to try to tone up my arms and legs.

I'm currently doing intermittent fasting and I've lost 17 pounds since early February! I do a 20/4 fast (eat between 3-7) within 1500 calories. I eat whatever I like, whenever I like on the weekend (just nothing crazy). I cut out soda completely and drink water like crazy. So far it's been working well for me!

I’ve been doing Weight Watchers and OrangeTheory Fitness for about a month now, and I’ve already lost nearly ten pounds and a bunch of inches! OTF is great for toning and losing inches. Weight Watchers is flexible and helps with diet (which, as another user said, is 80% of weight loss). Regardless of what you try, good luck!!!

I do weight watchers and yoga 3-4 days a week. I’ve lost 36 lbs in 8 months on weight watchers, so it is a slow but steady weight loss. Although this week I broke my foot so I’m trying to figure out workouts with my injury!

Start checking labels for hidden sugars. Condiments (especially ketchup and BBQ sauce) are loaded with sugars. I buy the G. Hughes brand sugar free ketchup, BBQ sauce and Honey mustard at Walmart. Check your salad dressings. Many labeled as low fat have extra sugars in them. Same goes for dairy. If your milk or yogurts are low fat, they will be higher in sugar. Try using an app like “MyFitnessPal” to track how many carbs you eat in a day. Then you can get an idea of changes you might want to make in your diet. If you are under 100g of carbs a day the body starts to take weight off. Keto is very low carb around 20-25g of carbs a day. If you decide to go keto, an app like “Carb Manager” really helps to manage your diet. Fats make you fuller for longer so have some good nutritional fats, salmon, eggs, avocado, olive oil, coconut oil, walnuts, almonds etc. After you adjust to lower carbs and higher fats, you will feel less of a desire to eat around the clock. That is why intermittent fasting goes hand in hand with keto. Most people fast 16 hours a day and have an 8 hour window to eat. Some choose to have one meal a day (OMAD) and some have multiple meals during that time. Also, watch what you drink. Juices are loaded with sugar and a lot of coffee beverages are as well.

After reading your reply I think my weight situation are similar to yours and future Mrs. Greenwood I am truly struggling with my weight as well. I have made changes in my diet however I don't stick to them. I have increase my water intake but like you said everyone must find what works for them. The exercise that I know that I will commit to is walking 15 min each way to work. As it start to get warmer I will definitely commit to walking more.

First, watch what you eat. Start by cutting sodas and chips if you do eat them. I do not think crash diets are good for anybody. If you balance your protein, lots of vegetables and fruit, and carbs. Remember, you want to have energy to work out and think clearly. Basically , do not eat foods that are packed. For workout there are some good 20 minutes session on youtube for HIIT. Jumping rope is one of the best workouts you can do. If you start now you can achieve a lot. I was in the military and one thing people used to do when wanting to shed weight quick, was meal preaping for chicken breast and broccoli, it worked, but gets boring after 2 weeks.
