Many of us are planning on losing weight for our big days so here are a few tips to do this safely!

Drink More Water

Staying hydrated is so freaking important when it comes to weight loss.

Sometimes our bodies get confused because when we feel thirsty, we think we feel hungry, and we start to eat.

Plan your exercise at the start of the week and put it in your diary.

Planning in advance when, how and where you will exercise will increase your chances of making physical activity a normal part of your lifestyle.

Get More Sleep

Sleep is so crucial when it comes to losing weight!

Studies have shown that people who sleep late, or don’t get enough sleep tend to gain weight more easily, compared to the people who do get enough sleep. Obesity is also common with people who do not get enough shuteye.

    A snack between meals

Choosing fruit or vegetables instead of crisps, chocolate and other high-calorie snacks will help you replace lost energy without putting on weight.

    Take the stairs

Walk up and down stairs and escalators instead of taking the lift, or get off the lift a few floors early and use the stairs.

Any suggestions for someone who doesn't like to drink water? I prefer my drinks to taste like something.

Flavor your water! Squeeze in some lime or do some fruit infusion. Keep in mind, though, that only drinking infused or carbonated waters and other drinks can be really harsh on your teeth enamel. That's a lot of acidity to always be drenching your teeth in.

    Be flexible.

Change activities if you’re not enjoying them. If cycling isn’t doing it for you, why not go swimming or even try some fitness classes at the gym instead.

Get off public transport a stop before your destination and walk the rest of the way.
