Weight loss: loose skin and stretch marks?

Kathleen , on Feb 24, 2017 at 8:24 AM Posted in Fitness and Health

Hi everyone! My Hawaiian honeymoon has been booked for October and I'm so excited! I'm hoping to feel comfortable enough to wear a bikini for the first time in my life. I have lost just under 50lbs in the last year and I have some stretch marks and a little bit of loose skin on my stomach. I'm working on continuing to eat healthy and weight training to tone up the muscles underneath the skin hoping that will help, but I'm wondering if anyone has had any success with skin firming lotions or anything of the like? Thanks!

Before my two kids I was 85 pounds. After my two, I am now at 114 normal weight. My body changed shape and of course I have stretch marks and some lose skin on my stomach I've been trying to tighten as well. Vitamin E oil has helped tremendously! That helps repair the elastic in the skin. I normally just rub it in a few times as week. It's definitely not as bad as it used to be, but I'm making an appt with a local doctor who helps with that stuff (weight loss and excess skin issues) and see what I can get done before my honeymoon!

I've only been using dermalmd stretch mark serum for about 7 weeks now and can already tell my stretch marks have lightened up from purple to pink and are getting less noticeable.

I used to weight 80 kg and now I'm 60 kg... after losing weight I got stretch marks all over my legs. What helped me to reduce them was dermelastic treatment.

Your transformation is awesome! Having loose skin and stretch marks is one of my problems too. Thanks for the ideas shared here.
