Weekday weddings

I'd recommend talking to your VIPs - the ones you definitely want to have there and run your Thursday idea by them. From there, you'll have a good idea if it works for your crowd or not. We thought about Friday but so many of his relatives live out of state and to ask them to take more days off wasn't something I was comfortable asking so we are biting the bullet and paying Saturday prices. Thankfully we are on "off-season" pricing for several vendors (not the venue) so that helps a little! Good luck

We're doing a Friday night. Just worked out better that way.

We are having a destination wedding in Hawaii on a Tuesday on a beach. This works out great for us because we will have less traffic on the beach. We aren't having many guest, so we are feeling pretty great about our weekday date. I see how it could be hard if you wanted to invite a lot of guest.

We are on a Tuesday - it is our anniversary and since our small wedding is super immediate family only who were planning to fly in anyways - we weren't worried about it impacting attendance. If we were planning on a large wedding with dancing and all the traditional stuff we probably would have done a Friday or Saturday.
