Has anyone ever heard/used this company before. I'm trying to find out how this works for a wedding. The quote I got wasn't bad.

Can anyone tell me their experience with company if they did use it before?

I didn't use them, but they appear to get good reviews. The real question is what type of wedding insurance, if any, you need. There are two types:

    1. Insurance typically mandated by your venue, that covers things like damage to the venue or liability if one of your guests gets drunk and has an accident on the way home.

    2. Insurance that covers things like lost deposits if your wedding or honeymoon has to be postponed due to things like illness or a hurricane.

Our venue had its own insurance, and didn't insist we purchase insurance. We figured our guests were pretty well behaved, and alcohol liability in our area is avoided if you hire a licensed bartender, so we skipped the first type.

For the second type, think about what you would actually lose if the wedding had to be postponed. We made very few deposits. The only big ones were for our venues, and we figured they would work with us if we had to postpone. So we skipped that type, too.

If you actually need insurance, you might also check with whatever company issues your homeowner's or renter's insurance. Often, they can write a rider for your policy that may be less expensive than separate wedding insurance.

2d bride - the bartender we are using (does Bartending part time) but doesn't own any type of insurance for that. The venue gave me information saying if the Bartending company doesn't have insurance then we can use our home owners/renters agreement insurance. I just don't know how it works! Lol

We do only need it for the liquor host liability though.

WedSafe is a reputable company. I'd just get quotes from them and from your homeowner's/renter's insurance on the liquor liability coverage, and go with whichever is less expensive.

We are going to use WedSafe. I believe it's ~$200 to get insured. Waste of money, but a requirement by our venue location (insurance..not the company..but they 'recommend' it.

We used wedsafe for our general event policy (also required by our venue). I think it was around $150 for the level of coverage we needed. I can't speak for the coverage b/c thankfully we didn't need to use it but it took about 5 or 10 minutes to book it online, very easy, coverage levels were very easy to specify.

I would DEFINITELY get a liquor liability policy if your bartenders aren't covered - god forbid you have to use it, but it would help me sleep better at night. Weird stuff happens. You never know.

I'm using them. I paid $150 including liquor liability, it was required and accepted by our venue.

Thanks everyone! I only need it for the liquor host liability. The caterer has their own insurance. So I'm hoping it's not a bad price.
