Wedit?

So we originally were going to use them. Then decided we wanted to hire an actual videographer. They said we could cancel as long as it was 6 weeks in advance (it was) so I reached out to cancel. No one got back to me. I literally emailed about a half a dozen times, and called every day for almost 2 weeks. I just kept getting an answering machine saying “we are out of the office for the day” (but it was every day!) I eventually disputed the charge with my credit card company because they wouldn’t get back to me. A couple hours after disputing the charge, Wedit suddenly gets back to me (coincidence...? 🙄) and said that because it was less than 6 weeks in advance I couldn’t cancel (but that’s because no one answered?!) At that point I didn’t even want the cameras even though we had paid for it, because I was scared they’d lose our footage or something and then just ghost us again, or claim that we lost the cameras and charge us or something... they just seemed highly unprofessional and unreliable. I made it very clear we didn’t want the cameras and they agreed to give us a 50% refund. We took it and were done with them.



Honestly the whole process was a stressful nightmare and I would not recommend dealing with a company that is capable of literally flat out ghosting like they did to us!

If you don’t have the budget for a videographer, do you have a friend or relative you could trust to record your ceremony, or maybe you could set up a camera on a tripod and ask someone to hit record?

Is there a local college near you? See if they have any film students that might want the work.
