Weddingmix! - Videographer

Ashley, on July 25, 2019 at 6:49 PM Posted in Planning 0 8
Hi!

We are looking into a videographer but having a hard time swallowing the fact of spending thousands of dollars for just a couple min clips. I was recently looking on Pinterest and saw wedding mix. I was just wondering if anyone has heard of this/used it/ experienced it! Thanks so much!

A couple of minutes? You will get a highlight film, but you should also get all of the video footage that they film from the day.

Hi Meghan! Just from the descriptions of the packages it doesn’t seem there’s actual video footage of the whole day. It’s just about a 7 min video of the day

Most videographers I've looked into have an option of ceremony-only. It usually costs under $1k, but it's likely going to be raw footage!

Ya! And with wedding mix they send you all of the stuff and then you send them back the videos and they do it for you and it’s a longer version and much cheaper under 1,000. So I’m really thinking into it because id like something nice but it’s hard to fathom only a 4-5 min video for the money. And I do know it’s hard work I don’t want to come off as it isn’t hard work. It’s just out of my price range for only a couple min.

Have you actually contacted any videographers? When we were researching, they always advertise the "5-7 minute highlight film". However, packages typically include footage of your day. I have never heard of a videographer only doing a highlight film. Our videographer is doing the highlight film, but also filming our entire ceremony, us getting ready, our "special moments" (first looks and reading notes that we are writing to one another before the wedding, things like that), toasts, father/daughter dances, our first dance, cake cutting, and a drone, etc...

So I would reach out to a few and see what full packages they offer before writing off the idea of hiring a professional.

Hi Meghan! Yes I did and unfortunately it will be an additional 700 or so for the rest of the ceremony and any extra moment videos. The basic is a couple thousand and it includes only the highlight when looking at film/video. If you want the others you pay that additional. 😔

Oh wow, that is crazy. A couple thousand for just a highlight film is nuts. I'm sorry to hear that, I was really hoping you'd be able to find something. Good luck!

    Hi Meghan!

I know 🙈 but we are in a very rural area so videographers are hard to come by and there’s probably not even a handful of them, which makes prices even higher I assume. 😔 thanks for the luck!
