Our wedding is exactly 20 days out. I've been cool, calm, and collected thus far. I'm very Hands-On and a little anal when it comes to planning things that I've envisioned. The biggest blessing is I have tons of Type A people who are willing to help me execute this vision lol. As the day draws near I am just praying that things will go as smooth as they can possibly go. I understand that no wedding is ever perfect but I was wondering what has been your experience with planning/ having a a wedding without a wedding planner or day of coordinator?

I didn't have a DOC. Our venue had a coordinator but that was it. We didn't have any issues. I'm also very detail oriented, which helped with the planning and making the day of run smoothly.

I just did mine with no planner. I would recommend a few weeks out, when you are cool, calm and collected, to make a detailed list of who will do what on the day of. My venue forgot to put out our boutennieres, for example, so after the ceremony, i asked someone to take them out. I laugh a little, but in retrospect would have been meticulous about organizing day of details. I also think what the hell did I do that for, and may have just hired someone in retrospect.
