Wedding Website

The Bride, on June 22, 2019 at 8:20 PM Posted in Planning 0 18
When planning our wedding my husband and I created a wedding website that continued all the key information our guests would need regarding our wedding:
-our love story-how many days left until our wedding-the ability to RSVP and select food options
-pictures and summaries of each wedding party member
-hotel accommodation details
-our registry
-vendors list
-FAQ
-etc.

If you'd like to see our website here is the link: theknot.com/us/courtnee-and-richard

Are you creating a wedding website? Why or why not?

We did because we have out of town guest who haven’t a clue where everything is. Plus it gives people a chance to all the wedding details.

We're having one. I made one for (almost all) the same reasons. Plus I even created an activities page so people can get a feel of a few things to do in surrounding areas.

Our wedding website was extremely happy for our wedding guests. Did you put any of your vendor information on your wedding website?

We had a "Things To Do" section for the same purpose. Did you include the foods that you would have at your wedding or did you want it to be more of a pleasant surprise for guests?

We’re not using too many vendors. We are sending out a formal invitation with responses cards that have two food choices on them. I’ve included a picture of our RSVP cards.

I love your RSVP card. We didn't have one. We directed guests to the website or our wedding planner to RSVP.

We will be having a buffet (have yet to pick out the menu) so we rather it be a surprise and not have to worry about writing down any extra stuff or anything looking too bulky. With the pages I have now, There's really no fit for it and I don't see a need to add a new page just for the food.

Oh okay, our guests asked about food so much that I just made a page of the foods we would have. We left the dessert room out so it could be a surprise.

I was planning on launching it before I sent out save the dates... and now I'm thinking before shower invitations/actual invitations.

I believe we launched our website about 3 months after the engagement. It really helped to build anticipation for the wedding.

I'm going for more of a mysterious angle.
I've seen way too many people overshare their wedding details on social media. I want my crowd to be surprised.
People can find out the venue once they receive their invitations.

Oh. Well I see why you made a page then. Understandable. I really like where our site is right now so I think I'll just stick with what we have. If anyone asks, I guess I could just tell them or tell them it's a surprise lol

We didn't create a separate wedding website, we just made a wedding section of our blog to link people to.

I love that you have a blog! I didn't have one myself but my wedding planner made a post about my wedding on her blog once it was over.
