Wedding website in Invites

Alison, on December 13, 2015 at 9:59 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 6

I know that you shouldnt reference the website on the invite but is it against etiquette to add a small card in the invite referencing the website? Our invites are semi casual seal and sends

That's what we did! We had all of our RSVPs online so we included a small business sized card with the invite. It had the website, hotel info and instructions for RSVPing.

As we are having a DW and reception in our hometown, we included our website. Our wedding has mail RSVPs, but our reception RSVPs will be online. I think as long as it's on a separate card, you should be ok!

Everyone I know has put the website on their invites... we're doing online RSVP only to save having to have an extra card (extra $&dollarSmiley winking so putting it on a separate thing would kind of ruin the point

You can out the website on your invite. An enclosure is fine too.

Putting your website on the invite is totally fine. You might be confusing the website with the registry. It's not polite to put registry information on the invite.

So I used to work for a wedding invitations store so I know that they still say that putting your wedding website on the invitation is against etiquette, but it is very outdated etiquette that almost no one cares about. You are totally fine to put it on your invitation. You can also put it on the back of your invitation or on a separate card. You're totally fine Smiley smile
