We originally wanted a romantic wedding but because we are getting married soon and VERY behind, I feel like I'm giving up my vision with every decision we make. For example, I envisioned wood floors with white chairs and romantic/soft blush centerpieces. Now, we have grey & maroon carpet and ugly meeting chairs (IDK how else to describe them). It feels like we are just making decisions just to put a wedding together; I'm not excited about the details, even though I usually love planning. I know that a wedding isn't a marriage but I want to love the place I get married at. I'm wondering if anyone else has felt this way. If so, what did you do?? Thanks everybody!!

Chivari chairs can get pricey but I found padded wooden chairs in white were a lot cheaper. Maybe try looking into that. You can focus on details to make it more romantic like charger plates and floral centerpieces. Maybe you can get greenery/floral garland and hang it if there's a spot for that like beams and such. Uplighting can help too... especially with disguising the carpet

I totally understand I wasn't a fan of the chairs our venue had either so I at first opted for chair covers. Once they started putting them on I hated them. From the moment I viewed the venue to the day of our wedding our venue purchased new chairs. Of course they were still the same style and looked nice. At the end of the day no one noticed that they didn't have chair covers. I loved how my day turned out and wouldn't have changed a thing....for me it was perfect.
