Wedding tips from Tiktok?

While some can and should be taken with a grain of salt, which ones did you find to be helpful? Either with a new idea to try out or something that worked for you.

Tiktok has a lot of good advice and a lot of "i'm showing off that I have a high budget" so it definitely has to be weeded through to get good stuff. Some of the things I'm doing that I got from tiktok:

    1) creating two day of binders with vendor contacts, emergency contacts that arent me or my FH, day of timelines for wedding party, addresses of each location, checklists and packing lists, and the binder at the venue will have photos of table setups, the layout picture, etc, the other binder will be at my house where the girls are getting ready and will have pics for each bridesmaid hair/makeup inspo.

    2) when doing our first kiss at the altar, ask officiant to step to the side, and hold the kiss for three alligators (1 alligator, 2 alligator, 3 alligator) to allow for optimal pics/video

    3) a second kiss halfway down the aisle during the recessional, we're also having the people closest to the aisle toss petals at this point.

I'm sure I've gotten other inspiration and ideas from things I've seen, but those are the three that really stand out at the moment. We've also watched a lot of tiktoks on how to add just a few moves to the first dance to jazz it up, so we've been practicing those. And practicing how we want to do our first kiss so it doesn't look sloppy or rushed or clumsy.

Pretty much any wedding-related advice is subjective since something might matter a ton to someone and not matter at all to someone else, people have different budgets, etc.

Something I found useful was a tiktok about different first kiss poses. I've definitely seen pictures I've liked more than others, so being on the same page as FH about how we want that to look (and being able to prepare ahead of time) was super helpful!

I love looking at the super elaborate floral and décor ones since that's definitely not in our budget lol.

Just like with any content on TikTok related to life tips, general advice, or specific guides, take everything you see with a grain of salt until you find 2-3 content creators that you vibe with and actually trust.
