Wedding Timeline for noon wedding?

Christina, on October 31, 2017 at 9:09 PM Posted in Planning 0 1

In terms of photos, what would a wedding timeline look like for the following criteria:

1. Ceremony is @12

2. No first look, groom sees me for first time walking down aisle

3: Cocktail hour @1

I'm willing to take photos with bridesmaids before ceremony and have the groom take photos with his groomsmen

I recommend asking your photographer how much time they will need. Usually they'll need about two hours before the ceremony for the "getting ready" pictures, your bridal portraits, and pictures with your bridesmaids, as well as all the little details (invitations, shoes, dress, rings, etc.). Then, ask your HMUA how much time they will need. My HMUA needs approx. 2 hours for my hair and makeup, and about 40 minutes each for my BMs' makeup. I just had my HMUA trial a couple of weeks ago and my HMUA was telling me that she had to be at the venue the next day at 6 a.m. for a noon wedding. So that should give you a rough idea.

As far as after the ceremony, you shouldn't keep your guests waiting more than a hour, maybe hour and a half IF you have plenty of apps and drinks for your guests.
