Wedding Timeline- 6:30 PM

Kara, on June 15, 2016 at 1:06 PM Posted in Planning 0 1

Hi all! I'm having a beach wedding at sunset and the ceremony is scheduled to start at 6:30 and be about 15-20 minutes long. We are taking pictures afterwards for an hour while our guests head to the venue (about 6 minutes away). Our reception venue is booked for 4 hours so I was thinking of doing a reception between 7-7:15 PM until 11-11:15 PM. We are having appetizers and a bar open until the bridal party arrives.

What I would like your help with is figuring out how long we should take for dinner, when the first dance is normally, when you throw the bouquets, ect.

Thanks!

Kara

I would do your 1st dance right after your grand entrance. Give dinner at least 1.5/2 hours before you start with the bouquet/garter toss/cake cutting. Maybe 9 to start those things because people will be ready for dessert by then. Then open dancing the rest of the night.
