That totally makes sense! Regardless of whether or not you've been married before, reflecting on the journey and connecting with family is always a good idea.

Awesome that you don't have to spend money on extra hotel rooms! And even more awesome that your wedding is coming up so quick! I've been handling stressful moments by taking tasks one at a time. What do you have left on your wedding to-do list?

Very cool! Are you doing a first look on your wedding day? Or will the first time you see each other that day be during the walk down the aisle?

My fiance and I didn't feel strongly enough about this tradition either (and also because we didn't want to pay for two separate hotel rooms), so we are also staying together the night before the wedding.

Yes, as of today, 12 days. Yes, I’m thankful we were able to find one locally. There is a part I would have done a bit different and that would be getting ideas before he actually proposed (we both felt it that we were the one for each other)..he wanted a short engagement, which was not quite 2 months to plan a wedding. The biggest thing was a venue, photographer, my dress and his suit. Our theme is elegant western, it will be in the evening time outside with stringed lights. Now is just little things (a runner, our toasting glasses (for our sparkling cider lol), our family bible, and some floating candles).
We are not following this tradition. Staying the night together because staying apart doesn’t make sense logistically or financially. If we did, only one person would be staying at a hotel, not both.

Yes it is coming so fast. Last on the list is finalizing vendors today and finalizing my guest list with the vendor tomorrow. I will be taking some photos for my wedding program tomorrow afternoon 😊

Even though the day of the wedding will be hectic, it'll start out on a positive note since you'll be with your future spouse! My fiance and I are also staying together the night before our wedding, and I think having him with me will help me feel less anxious and stressed about our wedding day.
We’re not spending the night together before the wedding, but we also haven’t spent ANY night together before marriage, so that’s not surprising! Waiting until marriage was hard the first time around, but even harder in your mid 30s when you’ve been widowed two years and your virginity has basically grown back! 🤣
