It's an Irish tradition to ring bells at a wedding to keep evil spirits away and ensure a harmonious family life. Some brides even attach small bells to their bouquets, some incorporate bells into their receptions by having guests ring bells to cue the newlyweds to kiss, and some attach bells to ribbon wands for the grand exit.
