Wedding Size: Big or Small?

Are you team big wedding or team small wedding? What is it that you like most about your choice? I personally am team small wedding, but I love the feeling of intimate dinner parties and get togethers with best friends. Also my FH hates being the center of attention 😅

I’m not sure if what I’m having is a small wedding or medium wedding. Is having 85 guests small, medium or both? I don’t even know! I have a very small family and my fiancé has a very big family! And then we’re inviting close friends. From what I read small weddings are more affordable and large weddings are very expensive!

I'd be happy with just 20 immediate family & close friends, but my FH says he has lottsssss of friends & wants a big wedding 🙄

Around 120 people I think is what we’re gonna end up with. I just need to stop telling people they’re invited 😅

I definitely see the appeal of a smaller wedding, and that is what we originally wanted. When we sat down and actually made lists of who we truly want there, we ended up going over 150… it was insane. I never thought we’d be inviting that many people, but we learned that # was average. I’m a little stressed out about the guest list and stuff, but we’ll make it work.

I wanted a small wedding, but our guest list right now is around 80. This includes some out of state family members so I am sure the number will go down.

I guess I'm middle, we have about 150. My future husband thinks that's a lot but really it's not

We are team small! One of the main reasons why we picked our venue was because it can only hold a max of 75 people.

We are having a super small wedding! Inviting 36, but am expecting the turn out to be more like 20-25. I am excited because it’s going to be perfect for our budget and ensure that only the people who mean the most to us will be there!

When we first got engaged, I was team small wedding. I wanted only very close friends and family there. I even suggested we elope lol. Now that we're in the midst of planning, and after selecting out venue, we opened up the guestlist to include more people and are inviting around 150 guests. There hasn't been a wedding in either of our families in YEARS, and we decided we really wanted to celebrate and have a big party with family and friends. It's going to be nice to have everyone get together because it's been a while. We hope to only get married once, so might as well make it memorable. Sometimes I feel like 150 is a lot, but after talking to others, I guess it's more mid size, especially given the fact that we both have big Mexican families.
