Wedding shoes

I cannot decide what kind of shoes to wear for my wedding. I usually do not wear heels but i also do not want to look informal. Also do I wear classy white colored shoes or do I wear a shoe that is maroon that matches my bridesmaid dresses.

Awesome thank you guys so much for the input! I’m only 5’1” so when I wear heels I am clumsy I feel like and idk why I care because people won’t see my shoes most likely because my dress has a train and obviously not going to hem it way down

I’m not wearing wedding shoes as well. Im we’re Tieks. I didn’t want to spend money on shoes that I would never wear again. Plus I can wear them afterwards.

I love heels and typically wear 4-6 inch heels. However, my fiance prefers me in flats! There was no way I was going to do flats, but I did eventually find some nice 3 inch heels for the wedding. Sure, they're not my dream heels, but I do like them, and I have plenty of other places to wear great shoes in the future. The ones I got are kind of our accent color.

I splurged a little and got Rothys points for my wedding shoes. They are super comfortable flats and a bonus that I will be able to wear them after the wedding. They also look very elegant.

So I currently have the same situation and my color is maroon too. However, I noticed that the maroon shoes look way to harsh against my dress which is ivory and just looks off. If you have maroon on your dress that accents it, then go ahead. But if you have a white dress then keep it classic ivory/white/silver/champagne.
As far as heels, do not where high heels if you don’t normally, you’ll be fine about one hour In, also wedges aren’t very formal. However, I suggest either a heel 2-2.5 inch(thicker the better) or a nice flat(they have wedding ones that are quite nice).

I’ll be wearing some custom Nikes. We are big Nike lovers and so I’ll have white ones with our wedding colors as accents and my new initials on the tongue. SO excited

I'm finding the shoes so much harder to figure out than the dress! Comfort is so important to me - we'll be on our feet all day! I picked a pair of sandals with a similar sole to these and then had second thoughts when I wore them at a dress fitting appointment. Although they didn't show when I was standing, I found that I often lifted my dress as I moved around and the sole felt so informal. I've ordered something new which will likely be less comfy (true flats, little support/cushion), but that might vibe better with my dress.

These are the shoes I wore. Very low wedges, that basically felt like wearing flats but looked a little dressier. Honestly they were in my details shot and then peeked out in maybe 2 or 3 pictures but otherwise I don’t think anyone even really notices your shoes when you’re in a long gown, so don’t overthink it! But I do like the look of a more neutral shoe color (white, silver, nude, even gold) because the pop of color would draw attention to your shoes and for me at least, I didn’t really want attention drawn to my feet lol, I’d rather it drawn to my gown and my hair and accessories 🤷🏻‍♀️

I'm planning to wear Tieks! They are ballet flats and come in a range of colors! And you can wear them again and again!! They are about $200 a pair though.
