Wedding send off alternatives?

FutureMrsS, on March 17, 2019 at 1:07 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 9

Hi there! Questions for all y'all lovely ladies. My fiance and I are staying at the same hotel that our guests are and we are having a quaint "after party" on the patio to the hotel after the reception. We have one limo bus (to avoid drinking and driving) available to take guests back to the hotel towards the end of the night that will be making multiple trips (if some guests don't want to stay until 11pm) however, this will mean, my FH and I will be leaving with our guests but I don't want to miss out on a send off. While it's probably pointless to have a send off as we will be getting on a bus with some of our guests anyway, I wanted to see if there were other ideas you guys had to make the end of the night special for my FH and I as we leave our reception. Any thoughts? If there isn't anything we can do, I'm fine with not having anything I just figured it would be cute to at least do something memorable.

You can still do one for the pictures! Thats what my bridesmaid did because she helped clean up after to talk to guests! You can do sparklers, smoke bombs, bubbles, rice, flower seeds, lanterns, rose petals, a group photo infront of your event, praying, etc!

Maybe instead of a send off you can have a group toast but with sparklers or something. Towards the end of the night before you and your FH leave, have someone make a small speech and everyone can use sparklers as a group. Possibly have them do this as you and your FH walk to get in the limo bus. This could also give y'all time to yourselves for a few minutes while everyone who is going to be riding the bus with you puts out their sparklers and gets on.

Maybe do something like this to make it special, and have everyone wait outside for when you leave the reception? I’m sure you could still have a send off, and be the first ones to get into the car or something!

I have a horse...so my send off will be by horse and carriage. Maybe y'all could do the same? Have a ride around town and let the carriage bring you two back to the hotel?

I'm sure whatever you decide will be lovely!
    Best wishes ❤👰🌹💐

We have a similar problem we will be having an after party and plan to stay there as long as possible with our guests so by the time we leave most of our guests will be gone so we might do a send off to the after party With glow sticks since we can’t have sparklers

We are having a small, private ceremony with just immediate family and attendants at a mansion turned Inn. We are going to our beautiful private dining room by 6:30 at the latest. The photographers are leaving about 6:15. Our bridal suite is upstairs in the main house. So we are going to pretend he is carring me up the stairs while everyone waves and says goodnight. Our Inn doesn't allow rice, rose petals, bubbles, or anything else " thrown" in their home. Hope this helps?

We're doing this with a reverse send off. We're going to be by the door and say goodbye to everyone as they leave then have a last dance together.

Can you have another car, or like someone suggested, a carriage, for just the two of you?

Our venue is also the hotel we all will be staying at and the after party will be in the hotel bar.

At the end of the reception we are going to have a line up and lead the way to the bar. Should make for fun pictures. Maybe you could do something like that

Not sure how far the hotel is but maybe the bus can do a trip for just you and hubby at an off schedule time.
