Wedding Registry/wedding Gifts

Don’t register and people will default to cash gifts that you can use for whatever you want.

I used Zola but a lot of people were more inclined to give me money in person than to give to the cash fund

Search this forum for "Honeyfund" posts and you'll gain a ton of insight into how your guests might potentially view/react. Generally, if you don't have a registry for "traditional gifts," most guests bring a card containing cash/check that you can spend however you want -- no fees, no risk of offense....

I feel like this would be a sweet way of asking!

We did a super small Amazon registry (maybe 10 or so items) knowing some relatives are going to insist on a physical gift, but hope it/when that runs out everyone will default to monetary gifts. If you're low on ideas for the small registry, it doesn't have to be just traditional home stuff, especially when you register for somewhere with a large variety like Amazon. My fiance is a Godzilla collector so we added a Godzilla suit to be funny
