Wedding reception protocol

We do have a day of coordinator. Can you explain what you mean by protocol? It's not really clear reading your post. Are you just looking for a general timeline or order of events?

I didn't have a DOC and I totally get what you mean. When is your wedding? Do you have a DJ? Photographer? Officiant?
If so, as you get closer, you'll start working with each of them on their timeline. I started with my DJ and we nailed down the timeline. I sent it to my photographer so she had the reception details. She helped with the before/getting ready stuff. The actual ceremony we just got set up with the officiant. And then I put it ALL together for a full timeline. Do you have any specific questions about your day?

We have a day of coordinator at our venue who has been the person we have been in contact with for everything. As for the general times for the day of, I would speak with your photographer and see how much time is needed for pictures, then discuss with your hair and makeup people to set a time to be ready for the pictures.
