Wedding Postponed, Moved to Thursday?

Experiencing some major concern with our venue -- we're a few weeks out and are almost fully paid on a Saturday wedding. They let us know the only day of the week they'll reschedule us on is a Thursday -- and told they'll still be charging us in full for a Saturday wedding.

We've been pulling apart our wedding contract trying to understand if we have a leg to stand on. Anyone else facing these issues or have your venues rescheduled you on open weekend dates?

Was it a change in price difference between a Thursday vs Saturday ?
If yes , go through the contract and if you have to reschedule request another Saturday !

Saturday is the most expensive day to have a wedding if they still charging a Saturday then have it be a Saturday if they won’t refund the money. That’s not right!

My venue is also only giving me a Thursday to move to. They say they are booked solid and won’t return my deposit. Not happy.

That’s so mean ! I feel like the least thing they could do is return your money if they can’t come to a schedule that would work
