Wedding planing in your area!

Shadia, on August 21, 2020 at 12:16 AM Posted in Planning 1 8

Hello! So me and my fiance are having a big expensive and fabulous wedding, and so I have been doing a whole lot of planing. In the mean time I have spoken to some of my friends and they have spoken to other people in our area and so on......... And they said that they like the idea that I will be getting married and all but they need help planing a small wedding for them and their family but don't know anything about weddings! They said that they have no education on how to get married. They asked if I could help them find out more on how to get married. SO MY QUESTION IS, HOW CAN I OR HOW WOULD YOU HELP THE PEOPLE IN YOUR AREA GET MORE EDUCATION ON HOW TO GET MARRIED? Thanks!

Referring them to wedding planning websites, if they have access to the internet Google can be your best friend. Go out get a couple of wedding planning books either from local library or magazine racks. There are many resources out there, but honestly the internet is your best friend.

The Knot has a wedding planning checklist that was super useful to me. Wedding Wire also has a checklist that I've heard is useful as well. Both websites have all kinds of articles for every stage of wedding planning, ideas of things you could do, etiquette, and suggestions for venues/vendors in your area. Similar to what Margaret said, the internet has been my most useful resource in the whole planning experience.

Send them to WeddingWire or The Knot. They could get a wedding planning book. Or better yet, they could hire a wedding planner!

As the others have said, wedding planning websites and books are a great starting point. If it's in the budget, wedding planners are great, too! I've never planned a wedding or helped anyone plan theirs so it was very foreign to me (and my fiance). Luckily, our venue is super supportive and includes a coordinator to help with every step along the way. So far, our process has been stressfree - excluding the COVID-19 drama and postponing.
