Me and my fiancé are pizza connoisseurs. It just makes since for us to have a late night pizza reception. I was just seeing if any one else has done this. We’are going to have other pastas and salads as well. I’m just worried about keeping the pizzas warm. Any tips for keeping it fresh? Also I love...

Also I love the idea of build your own pizzas but I wanted to see how others went about cooking them quickly. Unfortunately I don’t live close enough to any cities where I could get a food truck or have super amazing pizzas so I’m trying to work with what I got.

Also, saying “it’s MY wedding” sounds really bratty. You asked a community for advice and we gave it. Pizza as the only entree is only appropriate at a child’s birthday party, a church gathering, or a casual family get together. A wedding requires options to suit various tastes/needs, “I love pizza” is not an excuse. It’s not only about you. Also, food is a CRITICAL component of a wedding. This also screams low budget, and no one will be fooled that it cost you very little to feed them. I would recent you if I gave you a generous gift and you gave me cold pizza. Just being honest. Typically, you serve a meat, a chicken, and a fish option. I had 1) filet mignon 2) chicken 3) lobster with crab

Loaded fries or tatter tots???? Omg maybe this is a regional difference. In New York this is unthinkable at a wedding!

I would only do pizza if I could get nice, artisan-type wood fired pizzas at a venue with a pizza oven onsite. A number of wineries in my area serve wood-fired pizzas and could cater weddings at their winery with them. I personally think doing artisan wood fired pizzas is less tacky than doing, say, barbecue and cornbread and mac n cheese at a reception, which I am not a fan of. Especially if accompanied by good pasta and a nice variety of hearty salad dishes, I think it would be perfectly fine. Of course it all depends on the vibe of the wedding and guests, but I can think of a lot worse food to serve.
