I just got my wedding photos back!! After looking at them I believe that the photographers edits made the guys blue suits look black and messed with the girls dresses as well. I just got my wedding photos back!! After looking at them I believe that the photographers edits made the guys blue suits look black and messed with the girls dresses as well. I’m not sure if its correct to ask if there is someway we can fix that on a few or if I should just forget about it? I know it was a darker blue so it might have been hard to work with. I love the images but I would like the photos to be true to the colors we picked for the wedding. Any advice??cfb_1433811.jpg

Beautiful photos! I didn't like the color of the edits on my photos either. Just married 8/30/20! I also wanted ALL of the photos my photographer took. So I asked him for the negatives/unedited photos and he gave me all 2,500 shots. I am SO happy, now I have every single picture from our wedding and I can edit them as needed. I also still have the edited ones he did for us as well. Plus, there are so many more pictures I liked in the negatives that he didn't select for editing. And, if I hadn't asked for the negatives, I never would have seen them! Just ASK! They are going to delete the unedited photos anyhow because digital space is expensive, they keep some for their portfolio and delete the rest. CONGRATS! And I hope thise helps!

Wow, that’s a pretty stark difference - I’m sorry 😕 your wedding photos are absolutely beautiful, but I can’t even imagine your shock when you got them back. I would have a conversation with the photographer. Even if, like others said, they won’t deliver the raw photos, it’s worth a conversation to see if there’s a solution to be reached! Best of luck!!

Then I would definitely bring it up to her since the editing is vastly different than what you hired her for.

Ouch. I’d definitely say this person was an amateur in the photography industry. Your photos are very grainy in appearance except for this one which to me is the better of them all. Wedding Photo Advice 1

It does not make a difference what a photographer's style is. When the fundamentals like basic colors are changed from reality, you have grounds to have them re-edit the footage. I had to go to court over my engagement pictures, to get a judge to order either a complete refund, doubled as a penalty. Or redoing mine and destroying the bad ones. Judge was clear: wedding pictures are basically to commemorate you, as you are. No one should go beyond that, without express permission in a contract. This is not like you went to a painter known for throwing paint at canvas, and complained he threw paint at canvas. These photos are quite realistic, with a couple key colors changed. He can change them back.

Agree with the others, it looks like an editing filter! I think it’s 100% okay to ask for a few without the filter on it!

I would go for a whole matching set with correct colors. Nothing less. Going from new to old to new withing pages of an album would be unacceptable. No one would be seeing your photos after a few pictures, just laughing over spotting blue suit and black suit. You deserve pics you can show your friends and family now and in 50 years. Have them do all pics in the authentic, original colors, same as they did your engagement photos.
