Wedding payments

We set up our budget and then paid our deposits. Then we divided up the remaining balance by how many checks we will get until a month before the wedding. We just take a chunk out of each paycheck and put it in a wedding account. However if these COVID 19 relief checks are a real thing we will have only 600 dollars more to save!

I’ve put the deposit down on the venue and paid half my photographer bill. The dress went on the credit card but I also returned some stuff to REI the same day that covered the cost of the dress. Other than that I’ve only bought odds and ends and save the dates. They all went on my credit card to earn points, but I always try to pay it off each month. I’ve got a monthly budget drawn up for how much I can put from my paycheck each month towards wedding stuff.
