Wedding packages vs. D.I.Y.

I would like some help in deciding something, we have just starting planning and i would like to know in your experience if doing your wedding from scratch or using the venues wedding packages is the better option. Another thing to mention is our wedding will be about 4 hours away from where we live...

I would like some help in deciding something, we have just starting planning and i would like to know in your experience if doing your wedding from scratch or using the venues wedding packages is the better option. Another thing to mention is our wedding will be about 4 hours away from where we live in another state. We would like the wedding to be around pigeon forge, TN.

    Our families are very specific on their alcohol choices so if we do have to buy it then it would be a plus. I could care less because I am one of the few in the family that don't drink! But I will definitely update you on if they do!

    If you are having a destination wedding, go with package. we went with the hotel package and chose our own florist and dj. There are too many details about a wedding that you wont be able to do if you are far away.
