Wedding menu

Hello guys!

I need some suggestions with my wedding menu. My venue is very pretty and romantic (half indoor ...half outdoor), but the fact that I am using that venue means that I have to use their catering company as well.
Anyways! We have about 150 guests + 15 little guests (kids).

* The menu for kids will be very simple: Chicken tenders+ mac and cheese and some veggie (probably broccoli)

* My options for adults food is more complicated. We dont want to spent too much money on food. Probably about $21-$24 per adult (in dinner...that does not include hors d'oeuvres). here some food ideas fom the venue:

1- Chicken marsala, risoto and grilled asparagus. This will come with an italian salad. ---> This option is served

2- Polynesian buffet: With a Luau station: Citrus mango glazed chicken breast, teriyaki beef kabobs, macadamia crust mahi mahi, or pulled pork (guests can pick two options)+ wasabi mashed potatoes, coconut rice and asian vegetable slaw (2 of accompaniments) --> this is a buffet option

3- Texas bbq buffet: Not happy with this idea because I feel most of my guests are from Texas and this is what we eat once a month (at least)... same with fajitas station

My favorite one may be the polyneasian station since it is so different. I would probably not do wasabi mashed potatoes and only mashed potatoes...but i am not sure if I like the buffet idea... What do you guys think? I also like that my honeymoon is in Hawaii so that option would be kind of honeymoon inspired ( tacky?)... help!

Thanks!

The Polynesian buffet sounds amazing. I would just be worried about the number of allergy issues, nuts, coconuts, sesame seeds, dairy, and fish. If none of your guests have these allergies then you are in the clear. It also doesn't look like there is a vegetarian/vegan option. Again, if your guests don't require special meals then you are good.

    Great, no problem!

I have a bridesmaid that is deathly allergic to nuts and another that is vegan so I am always worried about the menu to make sure they have something to eat. Venues these days are very accommodating.

I like the Polynesian buffet idea, especially since you are honeymooning in HA. I agree with other PP just make sure to have vegetarian option.

If it's buffet or a no-option plated dinner I'd definitely go with the buffet.

I’d go Polynesian buffet. I love chicken marasala and those sides sound amazing, but not everyone does, so I wouldn’t go that route without another option for guests to choose from — hence why I like the buffet idea. Many more options. The foods sound fun!
