So we printed off our invitations and have already sent several out. My FMIL informed me a few days ago that there was no date on the invitation. *face palm* Totally my fault, I have no idea how I managed to remember to put the time for the ceremony but left off the date! So we printed off our invitations and have already sent several out. My FMIL informed me a few days ago that there was no date on the invitation. *face palm* Totally my fault, I have no idea how I managed to remember to put the time for the ceremony but left off the date! Anyway I wasn't planning on reprinting the invitations - we sent out save the dates to everyone with the date. Plus we also have a wedding website that's on the STD and invitation that has the wedding date. And we are planning on sending separate invites to the out of town guests for the rehearsal dinner so it would be pretty obvious what weekend the wedding is. But I was talking to a friend about it today and she was astonished that I wasn't reprinting the invitations. I didn't think it was a big deal. I was curious as to what others thought.

@Vicki I think what happened is the same thing that generally happens when you look over something so much that your brain starts filling in the details. I specifically remember seeing the date, at one point, on the invite but I must have made some changes to the draft and deleted it? I also am just super busy with life and a 6 month old - for me and my fiancé, the wedding is more a formality and a casual affair. I think I just got busy thinking about other stuff and that may have been why I missed it. But like someone else pointed out, even professional proofreaders make mistakes. the more I reflect on it, the less concerned I am about it.

And just to be clear, I still have NO plans to reprint invitations. Like someone else mentioned, I think reprinting and resending the exact same invitation now would be confusing anyway. I was really just looking for what others thought about the date not being on the invite and whether that was a big deal and it seems like the majority think it is! Reprinting invites is a huge waste of money and paper which is part of the reason I asked my guests to rsvp online. If there's any confusion over the date, I'll get it sorted out, but I got more rsvps in the mail today so I think everyone has it figured out Smiley smile thanks!

The date is probably the single most important detail. Re print and re send.
