Wedding Invitation Wording Etiquette

Michelle, on June 23, 2019 at 1:15 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 3
Hi everyone!

My parents are slightly contributing to the wedding, fiance's are not. We are in a situation where they are offended by everything and we are trying to minimally have to deal with fall back.

For wording, I personally prefer "Together with their families". Is this formal enough?

I know I can't just put my parents' names on the invitation, but his parents are doing absolutely nothing.

Do you have to list parents' names?

Thanks!

While our parents are contributing, we're managing most of the costs ourselves. So we decided to put:

Our wedding is semi-formal. We put "Together with their families" because all of us contributed about equally to the cost. Also, I just like the way it sounded. Courtney's suggestion is a good one to. Kind of takes all the names out of it.

Hey Michelle! I think 'Together with their families' sounds perfect for your invitations. It definitely sounds formal enough and you can avoid using any parents names so that you don't have to go down that road.
