Wedding invitation question

Samantha, on September 28, 2020 at 1:19 PM Posted in Planning 0 9
I am wanting to print addresses on my envelopes instead of using labels - planned to hand write, but just do not have the time at this point.

Has anyone done this? We have a really good HP printer, Mac computer. If you have: how did you do it?
Hellllllp!
Thanks in advance 😘

I would make sure your printer can print on envelops because not all printers can. Then look on you-tube for a how to video for your specific printer because they are all different.

Thank you! Our printer does print on envelopes — just looking for specifics from someone who has done the same so I don’t waste envelopes.

I have printed a few at work. There is a learning curve so I hope you have a few extra envelopes. You're welcome!

I did it! It was super easy, I used google docs and changed the size of the document to the size of my envelopes and centered everything and printed right from there it was super quick and they came out really nice

I've printed envelopes for work, but for our STDs and Invites, we just did labels.

With envelopes, I would definitely test a few and if you have mail merge, definitely use that and feed envelopes one by one. The problem usually comes from the sticky part, sometimes the heat glues the envelope and if it's the peel and stick sometime the glue oozes onto rollers.

Yes I have a Mac! It should work the same, and if you don’t know how to resize the document in google docs you can google it lol that’s how I figured it out because you have to dig a little to find it

I am looking into printing on my envelopes as well... i have an old HP printer that prints on envelopes too... a 1400 series all in one printer/scanner/copier/fax and i have an HP laptop

i found trial and error i cut up computer paper first to the size of my envelopes A1's and a7's... and tested on computer paper using microsoft publisher as the template for my fonts and all... held the paper infront of the envelope up to light to judge how to move the text boxes to print right, then ran it on an envelope .... my printer gets jammed sometimes with the enveoples, so i have to alternate computer paper then envelope, then computer paper then envelope... looking good for my trial ones...i have not printed full real ones yet though, that will be coming up in Feb/March

We bought clear labels from Staples, found a font we liked, and printed that way.

We both have chicken scratch handwriting.
