That sounds like a good plan. I'm getting married the week after you (May 30), and I was going to send mine out this weekend (March 14). It's about 10 weeks out, which can be considered early, since it's not a destination wedding. But I also think it's a "know your crowd" kind of thing. I know I have a bunch of people on my list who are either: insanely busy w/ a lot of commitments on their calendar, planners who like the details far in advance, or people coming from other states, who will appreciate the extra couple of weeks to get their travel plans made. I think typically, it's suggested to send out invitations at least 8 weeks before the date.

I think I might send one out on Friday. My excuse is they live in Hawaii and it will take some time to get there.

We are getting married May 23 as well and plan on sending our invites out tomorrow actually! We didn’t do save the dates though so I wanted to send the invites out a little earlier than recommended.

I feel a bit crazy but I'm sending everything out much sooner. Also it's a destination wedding and people have to put in vacation time for work, book flights, hotels, and babysitter since it's adult (21+) wedding.

I think whenever you want to is fine as long as you know you’ll have enough time to get a head count. It also depends how many people you are inviting. My wedding is in September and I’m mailing mine out this week or next. But I’m crazy and like to be super planned in advance.
