Wedding Gown Cape!

Hey girls. What are y’all thoughts on a cape? I’ve been seeing them around and I’m starting to fall in love. The only problem I seem to have is that I’m afraid I won’t be able to wear a veil with it! Smiley sad thoughts?

    I'm thinking of doing a cape instead of a veil. I like the dramatic look it gives.

    I think a cape in the late fall/winter would be a great alternative to a veil. I’m not sure how it would look with a veil. Might be too busy.

    They're beautiful for fall or winter and be either sheer or thick. They take the place of a veil. Try it on to see how it looks.

    Capes can be beautiful with the right kind of dress! They are meant to be worn in place if a veil, not in conjunction with one. I would definitely suggest trying some on with your dress!

    A cape is usually worn in place of a veil. The only way I can really picture them working together would be if you had a birdcage veil because then they wouldn't overlap at all. If you wanted to, you could wear a veil to the ceremony and a cape to the reception so you'd get to wear both without having a weird* layered look.

    *This is a weird look in my mind. I've never actually seen it happen.

    I could see a cape with a shorter veil like birdcage or shoulder length

    I’m considering one for my vow renewal next year. I think they look so cool! However, I agree with PP that wearing both a cape and veil might be too much.
