Wedding Favors or No?

We are skipping favors. They just seem really unnecessary. We are going to have a ton of killer food and alcohol. As a guest, I’d rather have that. Your guests will remember the overall ambiance/experience, not a favor.

I do not think it’s rude especially if you have larger numbers and if you are torn just do something very simple like a small box of candy with the labels or you could only give to adults

If you are trying to cut back I’d say forgo favors. I use to cater weddings and there were always so many favors left over. They aren’t necessary and generally a waste of money. I didn’t notice at a wedding I just attended and it was a wonderful wedding.

Favors have started to fall out of favor (no pun intended) with many budget brides. We opted to cut them as well to save on time, money, and storage.

Favors are not required, and are totally unnecessary. It's a great way to cut some costs, because you don't really need them. Back in the day, favors were a huge thing, and everyone had them. But over time, that tradition has really evolved, and more couples are eliminating that part of the reception. It's costly, and many guests don't even care, and often leave them behind.

More and more these days I see lots of couples ditching them for something else they'd rather spend their money on.

We're not doing favors for that reason. They can still be really fun, especially the edible favors (candy, cookies, etc.). But I'd rather spend that money on my dessert table, or my pro hair and makeup--just to name a couple of examples.

I feel like so many weddings now don’t give favors, I don’t plan on fo much other than providing flip flops to guests because you can’t be barefoot at our venue. I never expect favors when attending a wedding, either.

We aren’t doing favors, we’re doing a photo booth and desert bar with little cellophane gift bags so they can grab some sweets on the way out... tada “favors”

Not necessary! If your mom insists doing something small/inexpensive. I was at a wedding were they gave out a few hershey kisses in a mesh bag....Inexpensive but effective to please mom LOL
