wedding favors and escort cards

Mandy, on May 28, 2017 at 10:42 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 6

We are having a travel theme wedding and are planning using little airplane as escort card holders and a globe as our wedding favors. My question is for the escort cards, is it one person per escort card or is it by couples? same with party favors. I would like to give each guest their own globe but my future mother in law says that party favors should be given to per family?

I'll be giving wedding favors per person, not per family. So escort cards will also be individual.

I went to a wedding back in early April and they did the same thing. Individual escort cards and each person received a wedding favor.

If your escort cards don't dictate food choice then I would think it was fine to do it by couple or even by family. Is it a full size globe or small globe?

With the escort cards I think it would depend on how thought out the seating chart is. For mine I am placing people in specific seats because of the person (not in their party) knowing the person next to them better than their spouse. I know that's really detailed and overthought but I guess it also depends on if St people will know each other or if they are all from different social circles

I'm doing a travel themed wedding too!! I'm doing my "let our adventure begin" compass coaster favors as one per family or couple since it is a set of four.... my variation on escort cards were to write the individual names of each guest on an oversized luggage tag for each table. I'm only having 10 guests per table and using 10 luggage tags...i think that would work!

    Ahhh...travel....yes!

We will be doing individual escort cards for assigned tables.

Personally, for a globe...I think you could just do it as a couple favor/not individual; but IDK how you would pull this off (avoid individuals from taking one & then end up not having enough).

Escort cards should be per person. If you are not giving favors per person, don't include the favor with the escort card.
