Long story short, our wedding was basically a failure. I married the man of my dreams, but everything else was a train wreck and my FIL caused a huge scene and ruined our reception for us. I’m feeling really negative about the whole wedding and I kind of just want a do-over. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? We want something super laid back, but something to give us a chance to create amazing memories to look back. Like I said, our first was horrible, and it gives me nothing but regret about the whole day. We originally wanted to go to Florida and get married on the beach and we wish we would have just gone through with that.

I'm sorry to hear about your experience Lacey
Follow your heart and if you two can afford to do what you wanted to begin with, then do it. It doesn't have to be big or fancy or pricey. If it's just you and him and whoever is POSITIVE and supportive and would like join you (again), then I say go for it.

I think if you wait and do a vow renewal it'd be nice. I'm sorry to hear it didn't go as well as you'd hoped.

Do it! You and your FH should go to Florida, recite your vows again, take photos and enjoy the moment together

Have you taken your honeymoon yet? If not, definitely go to FL and just recite your vows on the beach. If possible, take a couple with you that you guys love. One can take the photos of you, the other can officiate the wedding. They don't need to be ordain since you guys are already married.

I agree with AEW 100 percent!!!!! There is no reason to have such negativity around on such a beautiful day. Maybe you can still do a small and beach wedding with just the two of you and a few good friends and family

That's awful how your wedding got ruined! I agree that you could renew your vows the way you and your husband both wanted to originally!
