I went with my mom mil and moh wedding dress shopping a few weeks back. It was such a weird/overwhelming experience. I felt like it should have been more about “me” but everyone was just casually chatting with each other, no one really even paid attention to me or gave me any opinions. I went in with some photos of dresses I liked and just felt so overwhelmed the entire time. I ended up purchasing a dress and within an hour of leaving decided I absolutely hated it. I called the salon and asked if there was a way to cancel my order but was told no all sales final. The dress hasn’t come in yet, so maybe seeing it on and in my size will change my mind. But if not what should I do with it? Is there a good site to sale it on? It would be brand new spring 2024 collection dress. I’d just hate to let it go to waste when I’m sure it’s definitely a dress for someone, just not me.

Check for something like The Three-Day Right to Cancel a Purchase in your state. You may have to drop-off and send a letter to them of canceling your order based on the 3 day option. (Use something like certified mail with return receipt.) It would help if a friend did this so there is an independent person involved. Maybe, if necessary, cancel the order through the credit card company inasmuch as that is acceptable in the cancelation process.
It seems so rude that they could not do this with a simple request.
Oops. Sorry. I missed that this was several weeks ago.
You could say you asked to cancel it verbally the day after you ordered it. Now you are sending the paper request to confirm it. That may be useful to make them back off.
