Wedding dress preservation

Lisha , on October 24, 2019 at 2:20 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 3
Is anyone having their wedding dress preserved? In NYC it can cost $500-$900 depending on the provider. I can’t imagine spending that much for the privilege of holding onto my dress. Then again, who wants to keep a dirty dress in a bag for 30 years? What have other brides done with their dresses after the big day?

It is really less about the preservation of the dress and more about general cleaning. If you were considering selling your dress after you would still have to get it professionally cleaned. The preservation is just putting it in an acid free preservation box and storing it inside in a cool dry place. The box is not in anyway sealed, you can take out the dress and wear it again.

Probably not worth it. Most fabrics these days don’t keep well anyway.
