Wedding Dress Online

Lauren, on November 25, 2019 at 9:17 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 11
Hi y'all. Newly engaged, about to book our venue in a couple weeks so naturally I've been thinking of dress ideas. Does anyone have online stores they'd recommend buying a dress from that are affordable? Thank you!

Of course David’s Bridsl is an option and BHLDN has beautiful dresses.

Even if you work with an online website be sure to try on the dresses. Definitely see what works best for your body type because the original silhouette I had in mind would have been a pain in the butt and would have involved alterations. I went to two shops and both Consultants let me know that an a-line would be the best for my figure and in terms of showing off my waist. Maybe still go to a wedding store and just try on some dresses and then look online for something similar and maybe a more affordable price?

Yes I still absolutely plan to go to the wedding stores to try stuff on. Just being in a couple weddings and helping brides, I know how expensive the stores near me are. My plan is absolutely to try stuff on then look online. Thanks!

Try black Friday. I completely understand it is really interesting how much dresses can be. You can also look at David's Bridal I don't know if there's one in your area. They're not a I guess custom-made store it is a chain but got my dress from there and it was on clearance for 800 bucks and I'm in love with it. I saw a lot of dresses online that I lied so I'm definitely not saying you can't go that route but it was really good for me to try on dresses because I didn't understand what would fit me I didn't know what Silhouettes were at first buy if ultimately I went to all these stores and didn't buy something I like least it would have made my online shopping experience easier. Good luck at what you find your dress posted here so we can see it.

I second BHLDN! They have a selection of beautiful dresses that are less expensive then some bridal stores. Hopefully you'll have a brick & mortar store near you to try on first; I didn't (none in Florida) but I took my measurements to be sure of the sizing. Just be sure wherever you order from has a good return policy just in case!

I got my dress from Amazon...it looks almost exactly like the Maggie Sottero that I had been eyeballing but at 80% less in cost. With my shoes (on sale at Macy's for $60!), a belt ($20 on Amazon), the dress, alterations (just need to have it shortened) and a headpiece (not wearing a veil), it is still about $1000 under what I was wanting to pay.

It's Amazon...if you don't like it, just return it!

I have my eye on a couple from Amazon, so I'm glad to hear you had such a good experience doing that route!

Honestly, the only way people know is if they ask. So many who have seen it think it's either the Maggie Sottero or that it cost A LOT more than it actually did. I think with taxes it was around $100!

Lulu's ! Very pretty from there. Remember though it's best to try styles beforehand in stores yourself to know what you even like

I ordered completely online through Coco Melody! 100% recommend. You can even fully customize a dress.
